Financial support can help me pay for things and make a living. Ultimately that’s the goal, but consider this: Session Players get money, but they typically don’t get much notoriety. The only session bassist most people would know is Carol Kaye. Session players only get noticed by their work, and word of mouth of those who have worked with them. There’s no promotion to spread their name for others to find out about them.
Cult bands are similar, in that they can have great music, but fewer people know about them because there’s not the promotion  that the household names have. They stay a cult band because of that.

How does this relate to how you can support me without any money?
If you can help others see my content, then there’s a greater chance that I can become successful.
(I hope my point is getting across, but I fear the tone doesn’t paint a good light.

Essentially, all the free support you can do boils down to helping to get my content to more people. All that is done just by being a good fan. (I feel like a good graphic here would be more effective than some rambling text like I’m doing now. Maybe show the pics I have of the shares and the reactions)

Firstly, just interacting with my content. Liking, reacting, and commenting on any platform will show “the algorithm” that my content is worth seeing. This means more people will see it. Sharing it will directly cause more people to see it, as well as help with the algorithm. Watching the whole video on YouTube also helps.

following on all social media

telling other bassists, via online forums, groups on facebook or discord, or word of mouth to other people you personally know.

You can also help me earn money without your credit card by watching the videos that do give me ad revenue.

These are the gear or product reviews, bass only videos, behind the bass series, or other videos of mine on YouTube.

Watching my new content and new types of content helps as well. The behind the bass series is a great example. I can get ad revenue from the videos, but I think they provide some entertainment as well as being educational beyond just playing along to the song. Helping these videos get a start, or any other new series, is an amazing way to help. They can also show merch to people.

Also, constructive feedback is incredibly helpful. I’ve taken suggestions from people and implemented them in new videos. Some examples are that I’ve removed the big yellow text towards the end of the videos, turned down the outro music, improved the visual quality of both the tabs and the playing, added the ghost bar previewing the next measure. I’ve also changed parts of the behind the bass videos as well.

I’ve also corrected tabs and redone songs when the tab is wrong, or the synchronization is off.

I’ve also found a way to legally share the tabs after getting many requests to share them.

Just remember that constructive feedback is helpful comments. The tone of the message can have a big impact on how it is perceived. This is good to keep in mind when communicating with anyone.
